My name is Devante Marshall and I am an Adobe Premiere Pro certified Film Production alumni from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have a thorough understanding of all aspects of production and post-production and hope to use these skills to create engaging video content.
I am currently working for Friendshop!, an award winning post production boutique located in New York, NY. Here I am an assistant editor taking on various duties such as assemblies, preps, postings, and client communications. Along with that I have gotten the chance to edit cutdowns as well as other social content. Previously I was the Director of Post-Production at RIT Sportszone, a broadcasting service for athletics on the RIT campus. I coordinated the scheduling and task delegation for editing team members, managed video, audio and color corrections for video segments and uploaded final cuts to media sharing platforms.
My main goal when it comes to editing is being able to tell a clear and impactful story. Since graduating and entering the industry, I hope to make a name for myself and use the films I have created to show who I am as a filmmaker. I hope to one day have an impact on other filmmakers and editors and am driving myself to put as much work as possible into every project to do so.
